How we use cookies and local storage
Cookies and similar technologies (localStorage, IndexedDB) let this site remember your preferences, keep your scholarship tracker and affordability results on your device, and help us understand which resources are most useful. Because our audience is in the United States, non-essential categories are on by default and you may opt out at any time.
Categories
- Essential (always active) — Required for the site to work — page navigation, security, and remembering your privacy choices. These cannot be turned off.
- Analytics — Helps us understand which pages and resources students and families use most so we can improve them. Aggregated usage data only.
- Functional — Powers saved tools like the scholarship tracker, document vault, and affordability quiz results stored on your device.
- Marketing — Allows us to measure outreach and show relevant workshop or scholarship information. Turning this off also stops sharing for targeted advertising.
Managing your choices
Open at any time — it is also linked in the footer of every page. You can additionally clear cookies and site data in your browser settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we automatically opt you out of analytics and any sale or sharing of personal information.
Third-party cookies
Analytics cookies may be set by Google Analytics. Turning off the Analytics category sends a denied consent signal so no analytics cookies are used. Some pages link to outside organizations (scholarship databases, FAFSA, college sites); those sites set their own cookies under their own policies.
