Currency in the most basic sense is money in any form when in use or circulation as a medium of exchange. The Latin root word for currency is “flowing” or ‘simply “flow.” Without money and a means to have access to money, we cannot flow which means without it we are surely limited. It takes money to live and without it we cannot literally “flow” through life without some challenges. Powerful Visions wants you to be able to flow on your journey to greatness with ease and no avoidable burdens. We want you to be flooded with great opportunities to learn, grow and access unlimited resources so you can “flow.” Today, so many people after their higher educational career are not flowing, but drowning in student loan debt. That is not a powerful vision, but a real life nightmare which is mainly the result of not tapping into the right opportunities and going with plan D for debt, because folks did not have a plan A, B or C.
Please know that the primary responsibility for paying for a college education rests with every student who seeks admission to an institution of higher learning. Keeping it 100, it has been mostly the parents, guardians and influential people will have to make it happen with regards to paying the college bill. Too many parents have had to carry a burden of excessive loan debt for their children. Imagine parents paying for an education that you never completed because you made unwise decisions in your college choice and/or the choices you made once you got to campus. The process for funding your education allows families and students to secure assistance by way of grants, scholarships, self-help and loans from federal, state and institutional sources. To determine eligibility for these funding sources students and parents are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for each year of attendance. The data provided on application determines a student’s eligibility for funds and an estimated amount each family is expected to contribute to their college educational expenses (Estimated Family Contribution) for each student enrolled in college in the family. Below is the link to the U.S. Department of Education’s Federal Student Aid website where you will find a wealth of information about the types of federal aid available, the process for applying and much, much, more.
